This Morning viewers have claimed that Alison Hammond was 'called out' live on air as she returned to the show for a one-off stint hosting until after the summer.

She joined Josie Gibson at the helm of the ITV daytime programme on Friday (August 11) after co-host Craig Doyle headed off on holiday.

Josie and Craig had taken over the This Morning reins a couple of weeks ago after usual Friday hosts Alison and Dermot O'Leary kickstarted the several weeks of summer shows.

But with Craig saying his goodbyes - for now - on Thursday (August 10), Josie was left without a co-host. But Alison was to the rescue and even claims to have changed the flight for her holiday so that she could join Josie.
