Alex Lowry 'looking good' for Rangers comeback as B-team boss delivers promising injury update

Rangers B-team boss David McCallum says Wednesday's UEFA Youth League clash with Liverpool will come just too soon for an Alex Lowry comeback.

But he's optimistic he'll be back on the pitch imminently as the youngster looks to fight his way back into the first-team picture.

The 19-year-old exploded on to the scene under Gio van Bronckhorst last season but his hopes of building on that were dashed when he was on the receiving end of a horrendous tackle from Dumbarton 's Ally Love in the Challenge Cup.

He hasn't kicked a ball since August but he's slowly but surely working back up to match fitness. There had been hopes Lowry would feature for the B-team on Wednesday when they host Liverpool, the same day the Rangers first-team face the Anfield giants.
