Sandy Clark says his in-form Albion Rovers took their battling qualities from shocking Bo’ness United with 10 men last midweek into Saturday’s victory over East Stirling.
The Cliftonhill boss watched his side recover from an Adam Fernie red card and a penalty miss at Bo’ness last Wednesday night to take all three points through a second half Bright Prince goal.
And on Saturday they produced a strong display to sink Clark’s old side Shire in a 3-1 win, courtesy of a Niyah Joseph double and a Joe Bevan strike.
It was a third win on the spin for The Wee Rovers, who have three games in hand over most of the pack following their participation in the Viaplay Cup group stages in July, and they sit 10th in the table, 10 points behind leaders East Kilbride.
