Angry Dundee will be contacting the Scottish game's hierarchy after their Premiership game with Aberdeen was postponed, as Pittodrie chief excutive Alan Burrows insists fans had to be told sooner.

The Dens Park pitch has been hit with a heavy intake of rain and with less than an hour to go before kick-off, referee David Munro called it off due to a waterlogged pitch and concern over player safety.

It has left fans of both clubs raging, as Tony Docherty and Barry Robson's teams were already in. Burrows, speaking with Red TV, says the Scottish game must do better by its supporters.

He said: "I am hugely frustrated for them (the fans), for the players who have prepped to come down and play. An all-round really disappointing outcome.
