Rangers have been warned they face a repeat of their derby nightmare in Amsterdam. Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side open their Champions League group stage campaign against Ajax on Wednesday as they bid to get back on track in the wake of a punishing visit to Celtic Park.
The Ibrox side went down 4-0 to their city rivals on Saturday and their limp performance has been noted in the Netherlands. Former Ajax player and now Dutch TV pundit Jan van Halst was less than impressed, insisting Rangers were clueless as to how to stop Ange Postecoglou's Premiership leaders.
Former Twente Enschede manager Van Halst reckons the Eredivisie champions will steamroll last season's Europa League finalists in the same way Celtic did at the weekend.
He said: " Ajax will win the match. Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants to play good football at Rangers and every now and then that works out quite well. "But it doesn't work when they get put under any kind of sustained pressure.
