Peamount United have confirmed that Republic of Ireland international Áine O'Gorman is to leave the club, ending a highly successful five-year spell with the Women's National League side.O'Gorman joined Peamount in 2017 and during that time won two league titles and one WNL winner's medal as well as cementing her place in Vera Pauw's Ireland squad.In a statement Peamount confirmed O'Gorman's exit, and thanked her for her time at the club."Everyone at Peamount United would like to wish Áine O'Gorman the best of luck as she decides to embark on a new journey," the statement read."We thank Áine for her incredible contributions over the years and look forward to supporting her at the World Cup next summer."Having trained on occasion with the Hoops Under-15 boys side in recent months, the Wicklow born winger has been heavily linked with a move to Shamrock Rovers as they prepare their women's team for entry to the WNL for the 2023 season.Elsewhere Arsenal forward Beth Mead has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and "is set for an extended period on the sidelines".The 27-year-old sustained the injury in Saturday's 3-2 Women's Super League loss to Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.A statement from Arsenal on Tuesday said: "We can confirm that Beth Mead suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in our match against Manchester United at Emirates Stadium on Saturday."Unfortunately, this means that Beth is set for an extended period on the sidelines.
