Roger Wittmann - Marcel Sabitzer's agent - has confirmed that a decision is yet to be made on the Manchester United loanee's long-term future.

The Austrian international, who will turn 29 next month, joined United on loan for the remainder of the season from German heavyweights Bayern Munich on transfer deadline day last month.

The Reds swooped for the versatile midfielder after they discovered the extent of Christian Eriksen's ankle injury. The former Tottenham Hotspur ace is set to be sidelined until late-April at the earliest, meaning United were left with no choice but to dive into the market and source a replacement, particularly with Scott McTominay, at the time, and Donny van de Beek also sidelined.

They drafted Sabitzer in in a deal that was completed in a battle against the clock.
