Adam Idah to Celtic transfer takes fresh twist as adamant Norwich boss claims shock sub is all part of masterplan

Adam Idah is wanted back at Celtic by Brendan Rodgers and the Parkhead faithful this summer. But if Norwich City boss Johannes Hoff Thorup is to get his way, it would appear that it could be a much harder task than first thought.

The Republic of Ireland cap is currently with his parent club in Belgium for their pre-season camp and he was part of the team that faced Club Brugge in a friendly on Wednesday.

He played just 33 minutes before being subbed off in the 3-0 defeat but it was all part of the plan for the 23-year-old. The Scottish champions are desperate to bring him back on board after his huge success north of the border.

But his club boss provided an update post-match and insisted the hitman will be a 'valuable player' for the Canaries this season.
