Aberdeen 'reject' Bojan Miovski transfer offer by Espanyol with Bologna and Genoa on red alert

Aberdeen have reportedly kicked out a bid for striker Bojan Miovski from Espanyol. The North Macedonian frontman is in demand this summer with Bologna said to be in the running for a deal - but the Spanish side appear to have attempted to hijack any move to Serie A.

The Daily Mail report that the La Liga new boys have seen their opening bid turned down after it "fell substantially short" of Aberdeen’s £6.5m valuation.

It is noted that Bologna along with fellow Italian out Genoa have been speaking to Miovski’s representatives in recent days over the prospect of taking Miovski from the Scottish Premiership - and it is expected that Espanyol "could still return to the negotiating table" for further Pittodrie talks.

It is noted that Aberdeen chiefs remain confident that they can "rake in their highest ever fee" for the frontman who arrived in the Granite City from MTK Budapest two seasons ago.
