A pharmaceutical plant with Ukrainian investments has opened in Lithuania

Pharmaceutical plant "Escolit" (JSC Escolit) started its work in the Lithuanian city of Telshai. A group of ukrainian businessmen acted as co-investors of the enterprise, its representatives announced during the opening of the industrial asset.

The plant also received help from the European agency LVPA (Lithuanian Business Support Agency) in the amount of 1.5 million euros under the "Region-invest" program (a program to attract European financing for the creation of innovative industries and jobs in Lithuania).

The opening ceremony of the "Escolit" plant was attended by the mayor of the municipality of Telshai district Tomas Katkus, vice-mayor Almantas Lukavichius, vice-mayor Agni Jakavicius-Miliauskine, director of the municipal administration Sigmas Nevardauskas.

According to the director of the plant Serhiy Panasyuk, the operational team faces the task of turning a profit in 2-3 years. "Planned production capacity is up to 10 million units of products produced under the Rexsan Pharmaceuticails brand per year," - Roman Yemchuk, production director of Escolit, said.
