With the weather predicted to reach highs of 30C, the first day of Parklife 2023 was always set to be a hot one. But, temperatures aside, the sheer musical talent, the stunning outfits and the great vibes made it a scorching good time from the get-go.
With performances from the likes of Mimi Webb, Raye, Groove Armada, Little Simz and Aitch, there was an abundance of pop, rap, dance, and soul to be had across nine stages and in every corner of Heaton Park. They don't call it Manchester's biggest festival for no reason, after all. Big moments from the day included a pair of dancing grandmas, an impressive stag do, an energetic (and bouncy) performance from Rudimental, a powerful display of words from Little Simz and a headline-inspiring performance from Moston's own Aitch.
