Coronation Street fans go wild as rival soap star makes appearance on cobbles as they claim 'traitor'

Coronation Street fans flocked to social media during the rare Tuesday night trip to the cobbles as they spotted a very familiar face - from a rival soap. Due to another shake-up to ITV's schedule, the ITV soap was back for a second outing instead of airing in its usual Friday slot.

But fans were too distracted to be too bothered by the change for a second week in a row, as they were treated to a very unexpected guest when Hollyoaks legend Nicole Barber Lane appeared at Kevin’s garage, Webster’s Autos, in the hope of finding a reliable mechanic to service her taxi firm's fleet.

At first, things appeared to be promising, but Cassie Plummer soon put her foot in it when she revealed that she was a recovering drug addict and that she had learnt all of her vocational skills while serving time at her majesty's pleasure something which didn't go down too well with owner Kevin.

Despite giving her the job to help out Tyrone Dobbs, Kevin was quick to consider his new recruit to be a "liability" when it came to drumming up new clients. But wife Abi was quick to remind him that she is in fact just like Cassie.

And Kevin's attitude soon changed when Ange came back to pick up her car. She seemed interested in what they had to offer and with Kevin in a bit of a flap, Abi took on the role of proving to Ange they were the garage to go with and tried to apologise for Cassie's comments.

However, Ange revealed she actually works with women who have been behind bars to help them get back into the working world. And so by the end of her visit, Ange seemed pleased
