Sevilla of Spain forward, Kelechi Iheanacho’s market value has dropped for the fourth straight time with the Nigerian now going under €10m for the first time since 2016 after Transfermarkt updated the LaLiga market values on Friday.
Iheanacho, whose market value rose as high as €20m between June 2021 and June 2022, is now worth €9m in the latest update.
The 28-year-old has now had the best of start to his La Liga debut campaign, firing blanks in all five games he has featured in to further extend his scoreless run in 2024.
Iheanacho has had just one goal involvement in 2024 and that was the assist he provided for Issahaku Fatawu in Leicester City’s 1-0 win at the Vitality stadium against their host, Bournemouth in their fifth round FA Cup clash in February.
With the drop, the Nigerian is now ranked number 18 among all players from Nigeria, number seven among all players at Sevilla FC, number 130 among all players in the La Liga and number 1,187 among all players worldwide.
Iheanacho is not the only Nigerian player that dropped in market value.
Real Sociedad’s Umar Sadiq has dropped from his €10m valuation just four months ago to €4m while Chidera Ejuke is still worth the €6m he was valued four months ago.
However, unheralded Getafe FC midfielder, Chrisantus Uche rose to his highest market value following his incredible start to his first La Liga season.
The 21-year-old, worth just €400k four months ago, is now valued at €5m.
