Joe Hugill has signed a new contract with Manchester United ahead of an anticipated loan exit in the January transfer window.
The 20-year-old striker has signed a new contract until 2026, with the option of an additional year. Hugill has been named on the United bench four times this season but has yet to make his senior debut for the club.
Hugill joined the United academy from Sunderland in 2020 for £300,000 and he was part of the squad that won the FA Youth Cup in 2022.

The Manchester Evening News understands a loan move for Hugill is being finalised as he looks to gain more senior experience in the second half of the season.
He gained valuable experience on loan at National League side Altrincham a year ago and netted a fine goal for United in their opening pre-season victory over Leeds United in Oslo.
Hugill has netted seven goals in the Premier League 2 so far this season and was named on the bench for United's FA Cup third round win against Wigan Athletic.
The former Sunderland academy goalscorer impressed United manager Erik ten Hag in training and he was rewarded with an inclusion in the matchday squad for the win against Everton in November.
