Aston Villa: £20m star wants another chance after 'horrible error' at Villa Park

Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings will want to move on from his mistake against Chelsea as quickly as possible, says journalist Dean Jones.

The 29-year-old was at fault for the first goal his side conceded last weekend and will be looking to avoid a repeat of that when Villa take on Fulham this evening.

Mings hurt himself in that 2-0 defeat against Chelsea at Villa Park but should be available for the trip to Craven Cottage.

According to BirminghamLive’s Ashley Preece, the £20m centre-back rolled his ankle in stoppage time but remains in contention to play against Fulham.

All in all, it was an afternoon to forget for Mings. As well as putting Mason Mount through on goal with his poorly-executed header, the Englishman also committed the foul that led to his international colleague dispatching a free-kick.

That loss against Chelsea means Villa have now failed to win any of their last three league games, cranking up the pressure on manager Steven Gerrard.

Jones says Mings will be hoping to bounce back as soon as possible after his costly error against Graham Potter's men.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: "It was a horrible error, but it feels like every mistake he makes always comes at such a cost, too. Look, of course, he'll want to put that moment behind him now as quickly as possible."

Villa are obviously not in the best form right now, whereas Fulham have done pretty well this season.

Marco Silva's men have also failed to pick up a win from their last three league fixtures, but they have won three games in the current campaign and recorded a few draws, which is impressive for a newly-promoted
