Youri Tielemans told why he should complete £25m Arsenal transfer

Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans has been told he "fits in nicely" at Arsenal ahead of a potential transfer.

The Belgian, who has 12 months left to run on his contract, is almost a certainty to leave the King Power Stadium this summer and a move to the Gunners has been on the cards for several months. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is understood to be a big fan of the midfielder and is pushing his club to get a deal over the line.

Tielemans has also been linked with a host of other clubs, including Man United, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea - while Real Madrid have also been mentioned. He has gone on record to express his desire to play in the Champions League and Leicester will not be able to offer him European football of any sort next season if he were to stay.

So a move to Arsenal looks like, and former England striker Darren Bent has advised him to move to the Emirates Stadium because he will fit in "nicely" to the squad. The Gunners already boast the likes of Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard, Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny in their midfield.

“If he was to leave, I would like him to come to Arsenal," Bent told talkSPORT. "I really like him, Youri Tielemans.

“I think he is a very good player, he starts in that Belgium team as well. He has got good quality to him. I think he fits in at Arsenal nicely, I really do.”
