Youri Tielemans makes Leicester City transfer admission amid Porto claims

Leaving Leicester City this summer is “not out of the question” for midfielder Youri Tielemans as he "listens to other opportunities".

The Belgian’s future has been a prominent topic of discussion for more than 12 months and a conclusion is expected this summer, with the 25-year-old likely to leave the King Power Stadium, where he only has one year left on his contract.

Arsenal appear to be the frontrunners to sign Tielemans, with City likely to be open to a sale if he continues to resist signing a new contract. If the midfielder stays but does not pen a new deal, he would leave on a free transfer next year.

Leicester City are keeping a close eye on Porto attacking midfielder Fabio Vieira, according to reports in Portugal.

City are the latest Premier League side to be linked with the 22-year-old, with Liverpool and Arsenal also said to be interested following Vieira’s excellent season. He finished the campaign with seven goals and 16 assists across 39 games in all competitions as Porto won the league and cup double.

Portuguese newspaper Record say City have Vieira in their sights but there are no negotiations yet for the attacking midfielder, who is currently representing Portugal Under-21s in their European Championship qualifiers. He scored twice in their 5-1 win over Belarus on Saturday, and is the second-highest scorer in qualifying, with seven goals in eight matches.
