'You’re talking b******s' - Graeme Souness stops Simon Jordan over Man Utd comment
Graeme Souness and Simon Jordan had an animated exchange over claims about Manchester United, with Souness telling Jordan "you're talking b******s."
The pair were discussing the challenges that chemical tycoon and INEOS founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe will face as the club's new minority owner. Ratcliffe is looking at a significant overhaul at Old Trafford this summer, aiming to break the cycle of mediocrity that has plagued United in recent years.
Jordan, who was Crystal Palace chairman until 2010, believes a fresh start under a stricter regime could be what's needed to return the club to its former glories. The former club owner was discussing the modern management of football clubs and how they often make major mistakes, particularly in relation to transfers, an area where he feels United have frequently faltered.

"I look at this now and say - with Jim Ratcliffe - that I don't think, if you're focused on the basic principles of what you're trying to achieve. . .I mean recruitment isn't that difficult," he said on the Three Up Front podcast (via The Mirror). "If you think about it properly. If you think about it with strategy."
Co-host Troy Deeney leaned in to see where the discussion was leading, while Souness kept schtum as Jordan elaborated on his theory. Using Wilfried Zaha - who didn't live up to expectations after joining United in his early career - as an example, the talkSPORT pundit argued more thorough research could have prevented such a transfer.
