'You know what you're going to get' - Victor Lindelof named Man United's only reliable defender

Victor Lindelof has been named as Ralf Rangnick's only reliable player by a former Manchester United full-back.

United have been plagued by inconsistency this campaign and find themselves struggling to cement a place in the top four. Rangnick's side currently sit fourth in the Premier League, though with some of the teams in the chasing pack holding games in hand they could be set to slip out of the Champions League places.

Paul Parker has claimed that a lot of the United squad cannot be relied upon. However, he does think United fans know exactly what they're getting whenever the Swedish centre-back is selected.

Speaking to bettingexpert, Parker explained: "[There is] nothing guaranteed defensively, still, not right, no balance.

"[Rangnick] Doesn’t know which full-backs to play. End up playing Lindelof at full-back [against Atletico Madrid], which was madness.

"Keep Lindelof where he’s doing okay, in the middle, you know. You got two right-backs and all of a sudden both of them are sitting on the bench. What's going on there?

"I think the one defender you know 100 per cent what you’re gonna get is Victor Lindelof. You know what you’re gonna get from him."

The 27-year-old has made 25 appearances for United so far this season. United are next in action on Sunday when they face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
