Xbox Game Pass prices are going up - but there's a way you can avoid paying more
Xbox and PC gamers are in for some bad news as Game Pass prices are set to increase this year - but there is a way you could avoid paying more.
It comes after the Verge reported that Microsoft, parent company of Xbox, would be raising prices for the Xbox Series X and its Game Pass.
The Xbox Game Pass allows people who own a Xbox console or PC to access a huge variety of games including the upcoming Starfield game which is set to release later this year.

The standard Xbox Game Pass will increase from £7.99 to £8.99 in the UK while in most European regions it will go from €9.99 to €10.99. Meanwhile, if you have Game Pass Ultimate - the price will increase from £10.99 to £12.99 in the UK. Ouch.
But fortunately, there is a way for Xbox players to avoid the price increase.
It’s all thanks to third-party websites like Amazon and CDKeys, which offer gamers the chance to buy a Game Pass subscriptions at a cheaper rate than the current subscription.
For example, Game Pass Ultimate costs £65.94 when bought via Microsoft, but Amazon is currently selling a Gift Card for a 6-month subscription to the service for just £47.49. That’s an £18 saving!
Not only that, but it will shield you from the upcoming price rise too. With the new UK price tag, that same 6-month subscription will cost £77.94. That’s £30 than the same subscription on Amazon.
CDKeys is also offering discounted Game Pass codes including £7.99-a-month for Game Pass Ultimate and 3 months for £23.99. There are other options on the site as well if you want to get in before the prices increase.
