WWE WrestleMania: Several top stars have plans changed due to Shane McMahon departure

Several major WWE stars have had their WrestleMania 38 plans altered following Shane McMahon’s shown exit from the company.

The wrestling landscape was shocked this week when it was reported that Shane McMahon had been “let go” from WWE by Vince McMahon, his own father.

The reports noted that McMahon was left with no choice but to let his son go after Shane “p*ssed everyone off” at the Royal Rumble on Saturday evening.

Shane was removed not only from any creative role he held behind-the-scenes, but also from his role as an on-screen talent, with his scheduled matches for the next two months being cancelled.

Shane was reportedly supposed to wrestle at both Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 38, with it being believed that matches with Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins were considered for the big show.

Adding credence to that, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select is reporting that several top stars within WWE have had their plans changed as a result of Shane’s exit from WWE.

“There are several people who had their creative sort of shifted, because there were plans for Shane McMahon, and now that he’s no longer going to be a part of WrestleMania, there are gonna be some things that ended up changing“

As of right now, things are pretty unclear with regards to WWE’s plans for the top men’s matches at WrestleMania, with the only concrete plan reportedly being Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar.

However, even that match isn’t 100% finalised, with Vince McMahon reportedly still considering giving Lesnar the WWE Championship before the show, which you can read more about by clicking here.

More information is likely to come out over the coming weeks with regards to WWE’s WrestleMania plans, and anything that may have been scrapped, so make
