WWE WrestleMania Backlash: Charlotte Flair suffers radius fracture after Ronda Rousey armbar

Ronda Rousey defeated Charlotte Flair to become the SmackDown Women’s Champion at WWE WrestleMania Backlash tonight.

At WrestleMania in April, Ronda Rousey challenged Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, after winning the Royal Rumble upon her return in January.

In a finish that came as a surprise to many, Flair retained her title over Rousey at ‘Mania, but the feud continued over the following weeks.

In their rematch, which took place at WrestleMania Backlash, Rousey picked up the win, winning the SmackDown Women’s title for the first time in her career.

The match was an ‘I Quit’ match, and the finish came after Rousey put Flair’s arm through a chair and applied her signature armbar.

Braxton said that Flair had suffered a “fracture of the radius”, and urged WWE fans to stay tuned to the company’s digital platforms for more updates.

Pat McAfee broke down what the injury meant, essentially saying that to put it simply, Flair had broken her arm.
