WWE SummerSlam: Roman Reigns' honest admission about Brock Lesnar match

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar will share the ring for their seventh singles match at WWE SummerSlam this weekend.

The two WWE icons will compete for Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a Last Man Standing match that will almost definitely main event the show.

WWE is also billing the match as the last that the pair are going to have, which seems to have excited fans.

While Roman and Brock don’t have bad matches against one another, fans seem more interested in seeing other bouts in the main event after years of Reigns v Lesnar matches.

And for what it’s worth, it seems like Reigns is also quite keen to not face the former Universal Champion ever again.

Speaking with TODAY, Reigns says that he’s hoping this match with Lesnar is the last he has, but not for the same reason as fans.

Roman took it down the angle of how physical Lesnar is, claiming that “it hurts” everytime the pair share the ring together.

I hope it’s the last time. It hurts. It’s brutal being in the ring with Brock. He’s a big ol’ country boy and has such a great, legitimate background. He started as an amateur wrestler, all the way through the collegiate ranks, into the UFC as everybody knows, heavyweight champion. He’s dominated WWE for a long time. The only problem he has is Roman Reigns showed up and took over. It’s going to be great.

The match was a favourite of Vince McMahon, but the 76-year-old isn’t in charge of WWE anymore after retiring last week.

Now that he’s out of the picture, and Triple H is Head of Creative, fans are hopeful that we’ve seen the last of Roman and Brock sharing the ring together.

Interestingly enough, a rather surprising potential spoiler has emerged on the match, which you can read more about and check out by
