WWE sees surprise NXT star as the 'total package' - considered for main roster call-up

WWE reportedly sees NXT 2.0 star Xyon Quinn as the ‘total package’ and is considering calling him up to the main roster.

Over the last year or so, WWE has drastically changed up how NXT operates, making it into much more of a developmental brand, as opposed to a place for top-tier wrestling.

The idea is that NXT 2.0 will now better prepare and train wrestlers for the main roster, which in theory, makes a lot of sense.

And it seems like could be about to see the beginning of that new developmental system on the main roster, with an NXT 2.0 star potentially set to be the subject of a call-up.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Xyon Quinn is viewed as the “total package” by people within WWE.

The report notes that the 32-year-old is being considered for a move up to the main roster, with higher-ups clearly seeing big things in his future.

Xyon Quinn (real name Daniel Vidot) is a former Australian rugby player, so definitely fits the mould of “crossover sports star” that WWE seems to be after these days.

He has the look and the overall presentation that WWE officials crave, so seeing reports that higher-ups want him on either Raw or SmackDown isn’t all that surprising.

He isn’t the only NXT 2.0 star who is rumoured to be on WWE official’s main roster wishlist, as Sanga is said to be there too.

The 36-year-old signed with WWE in 2018 and is the former tag team partner of Raw’s Veer Mahaan.

He’s also got the incredible size and tremendous look that WWE higher-ups want, so again while he may be inexperienced, it isn’t too surprising to see him being discussed for a main roster call-up.
