WWE Raw: New report reveals interesting original main event for last week's show
Last week’s Monday Night Raw saw the field set for the WWE Championship match at this month’s Elimination Chamber Premium Live Show in Jeddah.
Bobby Lashley will put his WWE Title on the line against AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar, Riddle, Seth Rollins and Austin Theory after each man ‘earned’ their way into the match during 31 January episode of Raw.
However, according to Fightful Select, the original main event and route to determine just who would be selected to be in the Chamber match was very different and came with an unusual twist.
Fightful details that the original plan was a Fatal-Five-Way between Rollins, Styles, Theory, Kevin Owens, and Damian Priest, with the person taking the fall missing out on being added to the match.
That person would still have likely to have been Owens, who doesn’t travel to Saudi Arabia for these events, however, it questions why was Damian Priest left out of the Elimination Chamber conversation altogether in the revised show plan.
It wasn’t the only late change to Monday’s show, as originally Montez Ford was scheduled to take on Dolph Ziggler, that was until somebody alerted creative that Angelo Dawkins was from Cincinnati and replaced Ford in the match.
Tonight’s Monday Night Raw is so far advertising Riddle vs. Seth Rollins for the show, as well as Lita returning to continue her programme with Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and the next chapter in RK-Bro and Alpha Academy’s rivalry – a Quiz Bowl showdown.
