WWE: IYO SKY brutally shutting down a racist fan in 2020 in iconic fashion

Footage has re-emerged of IYO SKY shutting down a racist chant from a WWE fan in 2020, and it’s incredibly iconic.

IYO SKY is now on WWE’s main roster, but prior to that, she was one of NXT’s top stars, performing as Io Shirai.

Shirai is best known as being a former NXT Women’s Champion, delivering classic matches with other top female stars on WWE’s developmental brand.

As you can see from the footage below, a fan at an NXT event in 2020 told Shirai to “go back to China”, and she wasn’t having any of it.

Fans, a lot of whom are only finding out about the incident for the first time now, have praised the 32-year-old for the bada** way that she dealt with the situation, as you can see below.

As was reported at the time, IYO said that she was considering returning to STARDOM in Japan at the expiration of her contract expired this summer, but Triple H was thankfully able to tempt her into staying.

‘The Game’ brought SKY up to the main roster at SummerSlam on July 30, immediately putting her in a high-profile faction
