WWE Hell in a Cell 2022: Five things that need to happen at huge show
It’s a premium live event week this week, as WWE host Hell in a Cell from the Allstate Arena in Chicago this Sunday.
So far only four matches have officially been announced for the show, with the card expected to be filled out on the go-home editions of Raw and SmackDown.
GiveMeSport lists five things that should happen at Hell in a Cell 2022.
Cody’s cements his status
As the centrepiece of the Hell in the Cell poster, Cody Rhodes is very much WWE at the moment. And with Roman Reigns skipping this event and possibly Money in the Bank, too, they need to keep Cody as strong as possible right now – and that means a third win in a row over Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins.
The match is expected to headline the night, and having seen what the pair have already done inside the ropes over the last two major shows, this Hell in a Cell match could top the lot and allow Rhodes to continue his comeback tour with another major win. The only question mark would be how to sell Rollins losing again and what to do with The Visionary post his dealings with The American Nightmare.
The Judgement Day four
They may not yet have a match on the card, but it’s hard to see The Judgement Day not being part of Hell in a Cell considering how much TV time they are currently getting. Whether it’s in tag team action or a six-person affair against current foes AJ Styles, Finn Balor and Liv Morgan, there will some form of presence from the faction. Which begs the question, who’s next?
Over the last two major shows we’ve seen Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley join Edge’s fold, and since then Edge hasn’t exactly been quiet on if and who the next member of the faction could be. Teasing fans online with images of the likes of Ciampa, Paige and Bayley among others
