WSL wrap: Peamount extend their 100% record

It was anything but a Saturday stroll as Peamount United maintained their 100% start to the season with a hard fought win at a lively Dalymount Park.

Second half goals from Karen Duggan and Kate Mooney bagged all three points for the Peas, a victory made just that bit sweeter having seen title rivals Shelbourne drop points earlier in the day, as the resolute and competitive Gypsie's failed to score for the second home game running.

Within the first quarter of an hour, the visitors in their changed strip of light blue had already fashioned a couple of gilt edged chances. Hotshot Kate Mooney met a devilishly whipped corner from Irish youth International, Tara O’Hanlon, but couldn't guide her free header on target.
