WSL wrap: Megan Connolly on target in 10-goal thriller

Megan Connolly scored as the Bristol City side she captains went down 7-3 at home to Brighton in the Women's Super League.

The versatile Ireland international got one back for the Robins two minutes into the second half, after Brighton went in 2-0 up at the break courtesy of goals from Elisabeth Terland and Pauline Bremer.

Russo provided the winning moment four minutes after the break, lashing home from six yards after being set up by England team-mate Beth Mead.

Chelsea bounced back from defeat against Manchester City by thrashing Leicester 4-0 to move top of the table on goal difference.

The Blues had to wait until the 38th minute to break the deadlock when Nathalie Bjorn hooked in for her first Chelsea goal and Mayra Ramirez added a second before the break.

Chelsea dominated proceedings throughout and further efforts from Johanna Rytting Kaneryd and debutant Catarina
