WSL: Jordan Nobbs was every Arsenal fan as she watched Chelsea match on sidelines

Chelsea secured their fifth Women’s Super League title on Sunday after coming from behind against Manchester United to win the dramatic encounter 4-2.

The Blues pipped their London rivals Arsenal to the top spot, finishing just one point ahead thanks to the inspired comeback at Kingsmeadow.

But the narrative was unpredictable during the final match day of the season and the title swung between Chelsea and Arsenal on numerous occasions throughout the afternoon.

The Gunners needed a positive result in their match against West Ham, but were also relying on Chelsea to drop points in order to end their reign as champions.

After just 13 minutes, Martha Thomas struck for Man United to give them an early lead. The Blues fired back through Erin Cuthbert, but found themselves trailing once again after 25 minutes when Ella Toone notched a second.

WSL fans around the country were flicking between the two fixtures to keep up with the action and Arsenal star Jordan Nobbs was also watching on anxiously.

The midfielder was not included in the match day squad but was still present at the fixture. She sat on the sidelines and as the camera briefly panned to her, she could be seen holding her phone in her hand and looking nervously up from it.

Freelance journalist Flo Lloyd-Hughes, who was at the fixture between West Ham and Arsenal, tweeted that Nobbs was indeed watching the Chelsea match on her phone, along with with teammate Anna Patten.

At the time of the footage of Nobbs, Chelsea had conceded to United and hope was very much in the Arsenal camp. It was no surprise that the Lioness, who has been with the Gunners
