Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson on 'crazy' Dover game and text message from Ryan Reynolds

Wrexham AFC boss Phil Parkinson was delighted with his side's comeback on Saturday as they recovered from being 5-2 down to win 6-5 against a spirited Dover side. The Dragons boss also went on to praise the club's fans as well as issuing an update on the goalkeeping situation and the upcoming England C international.

Parkinson told North Wales Live that the three Dragons players selected to represent England C against Wales- Paul Mullin, Aaron Hayden and Ben Tozer have withdrawn from the squad. The game is due to take place this Wednesday at Caernarfon Town FC, just three days before the Reds face Stockport County in the FA Trophy semi final.

All three players picked up slight knocks during Saturday's game although Parkinson expects all three to be in contention for Saturday's clash. The Reds manager also revealed that Lee Camp could soon feature after impressing in training.

Wrexham produced a stunning comeback on Saturday as two stoppage time goals from Jordan Davies secured the three points for the hosts at a raucous Racecourse Ground. Parkinson was delighted with the character shown by his team to get the victory when all looked lost with half an hour to go.

He said: "It was a bizarre set of circumstances which led to us being 5-2 down and crazy circumstances which led to us going on to win the game. Like we do with every game we'll be taking a look at it and look at how we got into that situation.

"But also we've got to praise the lads for getting back into it and they showed the drive and determination to turn the situation around. Afterwards we were all pinching ourselves and questioning whether it really happened!"
