'Wow', 'Brilliant' - Sky Sports man reacts as Newcastle now target 'perfect' signing this summer

Sky Sports and talkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has given his reaction to some Newcastle United transfer news that has now emerged involving Ismaila Sarr.

As per The Sun, the St. James’ Park faithful are now targeting Sarr ahead of the summer window, as he looks ‘certain’ to leave Watford, even if they manage to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

However, the Hornets are likely to want more than the £30m that they spent to sign him from Rennes back in 2019, and he still has two years left on his contract at Vicarage Road, putting them in a decent negotiating position.

“Getting Sarr on the cheap if Watford go down would be a brilliant idea. I think there’ll be other sides sniffing around too.”

The prospect of having Sarr play alongside Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin is truly mouth-watering.

Yes, his season so far has been blighted with injuries, but the Senegal international has still managed five goals and one assist in the top flight, and the Hornets have only won one game in the division when he has not played (Transfermarkt).
