Championship side Fulham are one of four clubs interested in signing Liverpool centre-back Joe Gomez, as per a report from Anfield Watch.

The 24-year-old’s game time has been limited on Merseyside so far this season, making just five league appearances and spending the vast majority of the Premier League season either out of the matchday squad altogether or on the bench.

Not only is he behind Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk in the pecking order – but Ibrahima Konate is also providing him with a tough challenge as he continues to wait for another opportunity under Jurgen Klopp.

He could potentially be offered an escape route though, with the Cottagers, Everon, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham all thought to be willing to lure the England international away from Anfield, possibly being crucial to his chances of winning a spot in his national side’s World Cup squad.

Looking at this from the second-tier side’s perspective though, would this be a good move for them? And is he needed figure in the English capital with the likes of Tim Ream and Tosin Adarabioyo already at their disposal?
