How is Tahith Chong getting on away from Manchester United at Birmingham City?

The Manchester United youngster has appeared 16 times in the Championship for Lee Bowyer’s side.

But that number would be higher if not for an injury in October that cost him a few months worth of action.

Chong only returned to action in a 2-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town at the end of February, where Bowyer warned it would take him a while to get back up to full fitness.

Chong has scored one and assisted two goals during his stint with the Blues, but it has been difficult for him to make a full impact on the team given his injury status.

Upon making his return to the side last month, Bowyer claimed that there was still plenty he needed to work on to get back up to speed.

“We all have to be patient with him, it was good to see him out there, it is going to take a while to get Tahith back to the position he was before the injury,” said Bowyer, via Birmingham Live.

“Like I said he was a bit rusty, you saw he got caught a couple of times.”

Chong has also made his feelings clear on his time with Birmingham this season.

The 22-year old has spoken fondly of the club, claiming they have been a great place for him to develop and grow both as a player and as a person.

“They’ve helped me in ways I can’t even describe,” said Chong, via the Independent.

“The trust and confidence they’ve shown to me in every way, really, from me coming in.

“As a young player, sometimes that’s all you need, all you want, to have that confidence because then you can just go out there and play your game, really.

“Even when I came back from injury, and even during the time of the injury, staying in contact with them and trying to watch as many games as I can.

“What they’ve done is really amazing and the trust they’ve shown, I can’t thank them
