'World's rudest restaurant' Karen's Diner to stop off in Blackpool as part of new UK tour

Karen's Diner - aka the 'world's rudest restaurant' - is stopping off in Blackpool as part of its UK tour.

The dining concept, where staff are purposely rude, has opened sites in cities including Manchester and is taking its sassy comebacks on the road with stops in Blackpool, Grimsby, Romford, Portsmouth and Aberdeen.

Next month it will take over The Stone Grill on the Promenade in Blackpool for two days, LancsLive reports.

Guests will be subject to insults, criticism and a generally rude experience so it's not for the easily offended. The novelty brand regularly features on social media clips, where unsuspecting customers, brought by friends and family in the know, have their reactions filmed as they are verbally abused or intentionally ignored by the staff.

As part of the Roasting Tour, diners will get the classic Karen hat, take part in games, try delicious food and deal with a litany of insults throughout their stay. The pop-up diner will take place on June 22 and 23.

On the I Love Blackpool Facebook page, the tourist information centre wrote: "Sit down and shut up! Karen's Diner, dubbed the rudest restaurant in the world, is popping up in Blackpool next month! Expect plenty of sass, great food, and a sprinkle of bad attitude."

The Visit Blackpool website said: "Well, well, Karen is in town for one weekend only. It should only take us 48 hours to insult everyone who lives or is visiting Blackpool."
