World’s largest flexible workspace company creating new development in Altrincham

The world’s largest flexible workspace company is bringing a new development to Altrincham.

IWG is planning to open the four-storey Lynnfield House on Church Street for start-ups and established businesses as a co-working space, and rename it Regus Altrincham.

The move is intended to meet the growing demand for flexible workspace outside Manchester city centre and the new site will be just a stone’s throw from Altrincham Market and Altrincham Interchange.

The workspace will accessible 24 hours a day and will feature a gym and changing facilities as well as bike storage and a coffee station.

Businesses will be able to design their own office spaces as part of the 950 square metre development.

IWG said enquiries across Greater Manchester for use of their co-working spaces has increased 27pc over the last six months.

The company plans to open 1,000 further brand new UK locations this year.

Mark Dixon, the chief executive of the IWG, said: “For several decades, we have been at the forefront of hybrid work, empowering people to work more productively and conveniently.

“More and more workers want to live in a ’15-Minute City’, where everything they need, including where they work, is within 15 minutes of their home. Locations like Lynnfield House are a response to this demand.

“Introducing workspaces in commuter towns like Altrincham helps build self-sustaining communities, generates economic activity and creates better solutions to support hybrid working.”
