World Cup Roundup: A 40-Year-Old's GOLAZO Highlights Qualifying Action

Thursday's World Cup qualifying action had it all. 

The penultimate round of the UEFA playoffs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup (which will feature 48 teams this summer) was an absolute golazo fest with 26 goals in a full slate of matches. Only four of the eight teams that are still standing will book a spot in this summer's tournament. Meanwhile, two other spots will be up for grabs between four teams (Jamaica, Bolivia, Iraq and DR Congo) in the intercontinental playoff.
