France are defending champions, having lifted the trophy in 2018, but the likes of Lionel Messi with Argentina and Cristiano Ronaldo 's Portugal are out to clinch gold.

England will hope to go one better than their Euro 2020 runners up spot last summer. However European champions Italy will NOT be in Qatar, having lost 2-1 in their playoff qualifier against North Macedonia.

Qatar is set to host the curtain raiser on November 21, with the final round of group games concluding on December 2.
