The first week of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is officially over.

The eight teams from the last two groups (K and L) were in action, with Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal beginning the day by being held to a 1-1 draw by Congo DR, before England enjoyed a 4-2 win over Croatia.

In the later matches, we saw Ghana get a 1-0 win over Panama with a last-minute goal from Caleb Yirenkyi, before tournament debutants Uzbekistan pushed Colombia all the way before losing 3-1.
