World Athletics Championships: Irish in action on Day 2

It's the second day of action at the World Championships in Budapest where medal contender Rhasidat Adeleke will be in 400m action.

After a busy summer where she sensationally claimed the NCAA national title for the University of Texas before turning pro, Adeleke comes into the Championships with realistic ambitions of making it on to the podium.

First she must negotiate the heats, where she is joined by Sharlene Mawdsley this morning. Chris O'Donnell will be competing in the men's event, while heptathlete Kate O'Connor competes in the long jump, javelin and 800m.

There will be 1500m semi-final action for Ciara Mageean and Sarah Healy after they came through their respective heats on Saturday.

Andrew Coscoran will compete in the men's semi-final in the evening session.
