World Athletics Championships: Adrianna Sulek’s ‘bizarre’ javelin run-up goes viral
Poland’s Adrianna Sulek has gone viral after footage emerged of her unique javelin run-up during the heptathlon at the World Athletics Championships.
Comedian Tim Vine shared a clip of the 23-year-old on social media, that has been viewed more than a million times so far and been retweeted more than 1000 times.
In the video, Sulek can be seen twirling her left arm and jumping up and down as she gets ready to throw. In truth though, we’re not really sure what’s going on.
Despite her unconventional methods, Sulek finished fourth overall in the heptathlon, narrowly missing out on a medal to the USA’s Anna Hall.
Anyway, we’re sure you’re dying to see the clip by now, so take a look below.

England cricket legend James Anderson, who hosts the Tailenders podcast with James, responded: “I await the first remix with a dance track.”
Meanwhile, others echoed James’ thoughts. One fan put: “This might be the greatest javelin run-up I have seen in my life.”
Another user stressed that it was great to see an athlete doing things “in her own way” and still succeeding.
“Love this! Doing her thing, in her own way, and driving a very effective outcome,” they said.

Others saw the funny side and joked that the reason they were rubbish at javelin is that they didn’t possess the same moves as Sulek: “Is
