Wordle: What is today's Wordle answer?

Wordle remains one of the most wildly popular free game releases in recent years and it remains a phenomenon but what is today’s Wordle answer?

The word game is deceptively simple, tasking players with trying to guess a five-letter word in six attempts.

It’s very easy to pick up and play, perhaps explaining its enduring appeal.

You’ll get hints after you put your first guess in. If you use the word ‘CRANE’, and none of those letters appear in the final solution, they will all remain grey.

If you use the word ‘CRANE’, and three of those letters appear in the final word, but in different places, they will turn yellow. If any of the letters are in the correct place, they will turn green.

The beauty of it is also the fact that every English-language player will be attempting to guess the same word, so getting it quickly gives you some genuine bragging rights.

You can play the game on the New York Times website, so all you need to do is head over to the site, and you can start guessing; it remains free at present, and here’s hoping that doesn’t change!

There are spoilers to come so if you want to guess it yourself, click off the site now!

Today’s Wordle is on Wednesday 27th April and this is the 312th edition of the game.

Today’s Wordle answer is SHOWN.

This one is relatively easy.

You can easily get the O early on and there is a simplicity to finding the S and the H too.

There aren’t a huge amount of words that end in ‘own’ and so it should be relatively simple to get SHOWN today.

We’d expect you to get this one quite quickly, and keep your streak going!
