Woman too scared to leave her home because of the people congregating outside of it

A Salford resident feels too scared to leave her home due to 'drug addicts' congregating outside her apartment complex.

Natalia De Andreis fears she may be attacked whenever she leaves Quebec Building flat in Greengate.

The 37-year-old says the problem started at the beginning of the year.

She claims people regularly use the entrance of the Bury Street apartment block to 'take hard drugs'.

Natalia, who has lived in the building for three years, has approached the groups about the issue on several occasions.

She says she has been followed and verbally abused.

Natalia has reported the incident to the police and building managers Premier Estate but the complaints have “fallen on deaf ears”.

She now feels scared to leave her apartment.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, she said: “It’s scary.

“I’ve confronted them and they’ve shouted at me.

“One of the guys followed me making vulgar comments. They got quite close.

“Imagine going to the shop at any time of the day and you see a group of people there. It can be frightening.

“Because I got no response from the police, they don’t care.

“They do it in the day time, they do it at night time.

“I’m scared that if I go to the shop, they will attack me.

“It just makes you think, ‘What will happen?’

“They torment me. It’s not nice.”

A spokesman for Premier Estate, which manages the building, declined to comment when approached by the Manchester Evening News.
