Woman's bizarre takeaway choice sparks outrage as it's dubbed 'worst ever'

We all like to indulge in the odd takeaway now and again. But one woman has been singled out by her friend for her bizarre culinary choice and faced public shame on X (formerly Twitter) for what's been dubbed the "worst" takeaway choice ever witnessed.

"My friend has just ordered possibly the worst takeaway order of all time? I am aghast," complained her friend. ANd while it's pretty normal to douse your chips in grated cheese, gravy or tomato ketchup, this particular individual strayed from the norm with a rather odd choice.

A photo showed the woman's chips covered in chopped olives. The unusual topping choice quickly sent the internet into a frenzy, with the original tweet going viral and amassing over 13 million views.

Adding to his previous message, the friend noted on social media: "Said friend is vegan which might add necessary context to lack of cheese and limited dressing options." But even this detail failed to quell his dismay, as he remarked: "This fact doesn't stop me from imagining the texture of rubber and sand that it would have."

Scores of X piled in to express their disbelief, with one commenting: "I love olives and I love chips but what is this?" Another weighed in: "It's times like these that friendships are tested but I urge you to stand strong and help them see the light."

Meanwhile, a third person added: "I want to spew. 1. Olives are on precious fries. 2. There is no binder (cheese, etc.) so no way to keep the nasty olives on the fries."

And a fourth individual declared: "This is the worst thing I have ever seen. Brits have the worst palates in the world."
