Woman in her 60s found dead after police called to flats in south Manchester

A woman has died after police were called to a block of flats in south Manchester. Emergency services rushed to Bickerdike Court in Longsight this morning (11 April) after reports over concerns for the welfare of a woman.

Officers from GMP and paramedics from the North West Ambulance service responded to the call and sadly pronounced a woman in her 60s dead at the scene.

An investigation has been launched by the force, with enquiries said to be 'ongoing.' Pictures from the scene show a small area of the apartment block which has been cordoned off by police.
