Woman in despair over noise outside her home... and has to wear ear plugs to get to sleep

A woman has been left furious after being 'kept up at night' due to a loud manhole 'constantly clanging' outside her house.

Videos shared with the M.E.N reveal the loud banging noise caused by cars, vans and lorries driving over the grid, at the crossroads of Denton Road, Shepley Road and Stamford Road, in Audenshaw.

It is at rush hour that Christine says the noise is the worst due to the volume of traffic, but continues late into the night and first thing every morning. In her complaint to the council she said it is 'getting worse' and wakes her up 'several times a night'.
