Woman goes on holiday to Tenerife but one thing floors her when she arrives

There really is nothing like the thought of a well-deserved holiday.

From the glorious weather to the lighter clothes and the delicious food - there really is so much to look forward to. That's if it all goes to plan, of course.

One woman was recently left a little deflated as her break away in the sun wasn't all it cracked up to be. Emily Jane, known as emilyj.ne on TikTok, recently headed to Tenerife - but it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows.

In fact, it wasn't all sunshine at all. People have been left in stitches online as Emily shared a video from her trip, and it's fair to say she got a little wet.

She admitted she "never thought she'd be wearing a poncho" on holiday, but the rain was pouring down so much, she simply had to. Footage saw her squelching in the rain, as the weather put a slight dampener on things.

The content creator did leave people in fits of laughter though, as she seemed to take the surprising weather in good jest. Many were quick to point out the Canary Island's weather isn't as wet all the time though.

One person said: "Surprisingly, we do get rain here. I know, shock right?" Another added: "I was there last week, was raining. Went flying on my a***. Dangerous pavements in the rain."

Others admitted the weather isn't always that bad. In fact, the forecast looks pretty good in Tenerife for the next two weeks, with highs of 27°C expected in some areas.

For holidaymakers hoping to visit Tenerife during the hottest months, the best time to visit is between June and September. Despite this, the sub tropical climate offers sunshine throughout the year, which means it's also a great place to visit if you're hoping to catch some winter sun.
