Woman eats raw bison, bone marrow and raw goats milk for breakfast despite health risks
A woman who shared her diet of mainly raw meat and milk with her thousands of followers has garnered criticism for her breakfast of raw bison marrow and unpasteurised milk.
One concerned health professional told social media influencer Ashley English she was in danger of developing parasite infections as a result of her unusual diet.
Ashley told her 140,000 followers she believes “if you are in alignment with the rhythms of the natural world and connecting to the frequency of the Earth” then the body will “instinctually lead you to your greatest health if you listen to it.”
She added: “I personally prefer the taste of raw meat and also how I feel when I eat raw animal foods.” Walking us through everything she eats in a day “to feel happy and healthy” she said “breakfast is my favourite meal of the day.”
She continued: “Today I had a raw T-bone steak with raw bison bone marrow, raw bison liver and raw milk. Then I had some figs and cinnamon.”
However, one parasite expert took to the comments to air her concerns. Defneozyutknd said: “Hey dear I'm a naturopath specialised in the field of parasite infections. You may need my expertise in the future so I leave a comment for you to find me easily.”
Others echoed her concerned, with one user saying “Your tapeworm is thriving”. Another commented : “This.broad - for breakfast I had listeria, for lunch I had e.coli and dinner I had salmonella. Then I pooped worms at the hospital.”
The FDA is clear on its stance on raw, or unpasteurised milk, which is prohibited from being sold across state lines in the US.
