Wolves vs Aston Villa latest injury news as Bruno Lage has four key worries

Wolverhampton Wanderers return to Premier League action when they play Aston Villa on Saturday week.

Bruno Lage's Wolves will be hoping to complete a double over their Midlands rivals when Steven Gerrard's side head to Molineux next month. Both teams have players away on international duty with Lage and Gerrard keeping their fingers crossed that no players return with any new injury worries.

For Wolves, the game represents a chance for Lage's men to get back to winning ways after a 3-2 collapse to Leeds United last time out having led 2-0 with an hour to play. The Leeds game came with a cost of more than three points, though, with Ruben Neves (knee) suffering a fresh injury.

Meanwhile, Pedro Neto remains out with a minor foot issue while Ki-Jana Hoever and Nelson Semedo (both hamstring), are still sidelined. The two-week break for international football gives Wolves a chance to get players back fit and prepare for the Villa clash with no interruptions.

The Portuguese playmaker suffered a knee injury against Leeds which meant he had to be replaced by Francisco Trincao in the 25th minute. Lage said after the defeat: "We need to see what happened.

"In a couple of days we'll know what happened. He didn't feel comfortable, he fell down on his knee and didn't feel comfortable, now we need to wait and see what happened."

Semedo suffered a hamstring injury in the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal on February 24 and is expected to remain sidelined until after the international break. The earliest possible return date for Semedo is currently April 2 when Wolves face Villa.
