Wolves team news vs Aston Villa: Fabio Silva starts as Bruno Lage makes four changes

Bruno Lage has made four changes to his Wolverhampton Wanderers line-up for today’s derby with Aston Villa.

Two of Lage’s changes have been enforced with Ruben Neves out injured, and star striker Raul Jimenez suspended for the next two games. Neves is expected to be out until May with a knee injury, while Jimenez is unavailable for Wolves’ next two matches.

Francisco Trincao is handed his first start in a month following his impressive cameo off the bench against Leeds. Trincao scored his first Premier League goal in the 3-2 defeat to Leeds and replaces Neves in the XI as Wolves revert to a 3-4-3 formation.

Fabio Silva gets the nod to replace Jimenez in attack ahead of Hwang Hee-chan. Silva hasn’t registered a goal this season, but he joins compatriots Trincao and Daniel Podence in attack.

Max Kilman also returns to the XI in place of Romain Saiss, while Marcal comes in for Rayan Ait-Nouri at wing-back. Saiss and Ait-Nouri were both culpable for goals Wolves conceded in the defeat to Leeds.
